We are Roger and Ellen (a.k.a. Ronnie) Perkins. Illusion II has been our business and vacation home for the past 30 years. At present, we spend the winters on the boat, and during the summer hurricane season, we reside in our home in Lompoc, California.

 

 

Roger hails from England and Guernsey where he was active in the boat building industry. Buying his first sailing yacht, he headed off to circumnavigate the world, but stopped in the Virgin Islands where he fell in love with the warm lifestyle and great people. Here he settled and spent the next 30 years sharing his lifestyle on the ocean with guests on his yacht.

 

Roger's other interests are windsurfing, motorcycles, bicycling, camping, and tinkering with his classic MGB.

 

Ellen hails from Southern California where she left a sucessful career in real estate to pursue adventure on the high seas. After several ocean passages, she met Roger and Illusion II. Now she is happily sharing their lifestyle with her charter guests.

 

Ellen enjoys hiking, gardening, gourmet cooking, bicycling, snorkeling, and camping. She also has been a HICAP volunteer for the past 4 years counseling seniors on health insurance matters.
